Good Avocado: A Playful Handwritten Typeface for Web Design

Good Avocado for Hero Sections and Brand Statements

Testing Good Avocado in a hero section of a boutique online store was an eye-opening experience. As a Display typeface, it brought a fresh energy to the headline, making it feel more personal and approachable. The handwritten style of Good Avocado gave the brand a friendly, creative vibe—perfect for a niche audience looking for unique products.

I used it over a full-width image banner with a subtle gradient overlay. The result was a clean, readable title that didn’t overpower the visual content but added character. It worked especially well on larger screens, but I had to be careful with spacing and line height to maintain readability on mobile devices.

Good Avocado for Product Landing Pages and Call-to-Action Areas

When designing a product landing page for a new line of handmade skincare, I experimented with using Good Avocado in the CTA buttons and section headings. As a Fonts choice, it stood out against minimalist layouts and drew attention without being too loud.

The playful nature of Good Avocado helped break up the monotony of a clean design, adding warmth and personality. However, I paired it with a simple sans-serif font for body text to ensure the message remained clear and professional. This combination balanced creativity with usability, which is essential for conversion-focused pages.

One thing I noticed was how Good Avocado performed on dark backgrounds. The contrast was excellent, but I had to adjust the stroke weight slightly to avoid any issues with legibility on smaller screens.

Good Avocado for Blog Headers and Editorial Content

In redesigning a blog for a lifestyle coach, I wanted a font that felt both inviting and trustworthy. Good Avocado fit the bill perfectly. It added a human touch to the header titles and post excerpts, giving the blog a more personal feel.

Using it for blog headers meant I had to consider its scalability. On desktops, it looked great at larger sizes, but on mobile, I had to reduce the size and increase the letter spacing to prevent overlapping characters. The font’s natural flow made it ideal for short phrases and quotes, which are common in editorial design.

For longer paragraphs, I stuck to a serif font for body copy. This ensured that the content remained easy to read while keeping the overall design cohesive and modern.

Good Avocado for Digital Brand Kits and Campaign Pages

Creating a digital brand kit for a small business required a font that could represent the brand’s personality across various platforms. Good Avocado was the perfect choice for logos, social media graphics, and campaign pages. Its handwritten style aligned with the brand’s creative and authentic image.

I tested it in different contexts: from logo text to promotional banners. Each time, it brought a sense of warmth and originality to the visuals. For consistency, I made sure to use it sparingly—mainly for headlines and accents rather than entire sections of text.

It also worked well in pairing with other fonts. When used alongside a clean sans-serif font for body text, it created a strong visual hierarchy that guided the user’s eye naturally through the page.

Good Avocado for Portfolio Sites and Creative Showcases

Designing a portfolio site for a freelance designer, I wanted a font that would showcase their creativity without compromising professionalism. Good Avocado was a natural fit for project titles and feature headers. Its display qualities made each project stand out, while its readability kept the information accessible.

I found that using Good Avocado for decorative accents, like in the navigation bar or underlines, added a nice touch of personality. It wasn’t overused, so the focus remained on the work itself.

For a more polished look, I checked the font’s available weights and alternates to ensure there were enough variations for different uses. The ability to access webfont formats was also important for ensuring fast loading times and cross-browser compatibility.

Good Avocado for Business Cards and Offline Print Materials

Even though this article focuses on digital design, I couldn’t ignore how Good Avocado translated to print. When creating a set of business cards for a local artisan, the handwritten style of the font gave them a unique and memorable look. It was especially effective when paired with high-quality paper and minimal design elements.

As a Fonts option, it offered versatility across both digital and physical mediums. The same font that looked great on a website could also be used for print materials, reinforcing brand identity consistently across all touchpoints.

This reinforced the importance of choosing a font that works well in multiple formats. Whether it's a digital landing page or a printed invitation, Good Avocado delivered the right balance of style and substance.
